<video:thumbnail_loc>https://www.aboutjspeaks.com/assets/thumbnails/alexus-rhone-writer-producer-artistic-theologian-thumbnail.webp</video:thumbnail_loc>
<video:description>Alexus Rhone, affectionately known as 'Lex,' is a writer, producer, artistic theologian, and 'revolutionary artist' devoted to candidly exploring the power of truth when 'dressed' in story. Lex owns her own publishing company called 'Unshackled Publishing.' Unshackled Publishing publishes gateway fiction for reluctant reading teens and preteens. The company's mission? To get them 'hooked on books!' Lex's titles engage the often-neglected reluctant teen/pre-teen reader by exploring universal themes such as friendship, betrayal, spiritual and sexual angst, and peer/adult relationship dynamics.</video:description>

<video:thumbnail_loc>https://www.aboutjspeaks.com/assets/thumbnails/always-do-the-right-thing-thumbnail.webp</video:thumbnail_loc>
<video:description>Think of a time you acted on impulse. How did that work out for you? Do you think that was the right thing to do? Whenever you have the urge to fight fire with fire, please turn your focus to God - He will never forsake you. "Jesus, I can't do this anymore. I am done trying to solve things on my own. I need You now. I am choosing to trust You. I am trusting You more than I trust myself. I am choosing to trust You more than any scheme or worldly solution. Although this is not what I want to do and quite frankly this is not what I am comfortable doing, I surrender to You. I want You to solve my problems rather than me solve my problems for myself. I want Your powers to work in my circumstance. I want Your love to flow through me rather than passivity and aggression." "I know I won't be perfect at this, but I am going to try. I am going to try every day. I believe that You will give me what I need - to surrender, to love again, to rest my heart. Because You, Lord, have the power to turn my unfortunate circumstances into endless blessings - because that is the kind of God You are. Amen."</video:description>

<video:title>Introducing Ashley Rawlinson: Owner of HERitage Wines, Black Owned Wine Brand</video:title>
<video:thumbnail_loc>https://www.aboutjspeaks.com/assets/thumbnails/ashley-rawlinson-heritage-wines-thumbnail.webp</video:thumbnail_loc>
<video:description>HERitage Wines is a wine brand, created and owned by a Black woman, established to address the underrepresentation of Black individuals in wine culture, from consumption and knowledge to production and ownership. The brand offers wine experiences for Black women in Durham and nearby areas, focusing on education, exposure, access, and community, to empower them to feel more comfortable and valued in the wine spaces. Ashley Rawlinson, Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 2 certified, recently featured in Forbes, a Roots Fund scholar, and founder of HERitage Wines, started this brand due to the lack when it comes to Black people who drink, know about, are educated in, make, own, and/or have memorable and unique experiences in wine. While no one is excluded, HERitage Wines was designed by HER, caters to HER and intentionally supports Black women who enjoy and drink wine.</video:description>

<video:thumbnail_loc>https://www.aboutjspeaks.com/assets/thumbnails/attachment-trauma-healing-thumbnail.webp</video:thumbnail_loc>
<video:description>It is a pleasure to introduce you to Joy Long, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and holistic psychotherapist. Joy’s intention is to create a liberating and healing space where individuals can discover their authentic selves, tap into their inner resources, and step into their true purpose. Joy found her calling in this work during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. The pain, grief, and anger she experienced while witnessing the suffering of marginalized communities compelled her to pursue a path dedicated to facilitating trauma healing. The guiding principles of Joy's practice as a holistic psychotherapist are love, liberation, and joy. She is passionate about empowering individuals and communities to transform stress and trauma into infinite power and possibility.</video:description>

<video:description>Be open to building an intimate relationship with God to get the best results in life. As Proverbs 3:5-6 states, 'Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.' Choose discernment in times of distress, allowing wisdom to guide your actions instead of emotions. With prayer, silence, and meditation, you can strengthen your ability to make wise choices and avoid unnecessary problems.</video:description>

By promoting leadership and cultural shifts in youth engagement, OOY invests in the dreams and aspirations of Durham’s youth. Youth Mentoring Collaborative (YMC) works to increase identity-affirming mentoring relationships for Black and Brown youth, breaking down systemic barriers that impact young people and their families.</video:description>

<video:description>In this video, we explore the importance of embracing discomfort and taking risks rather than staying complacent in life. The discomfort and uncertainty we often feel when facing new challenges are part of growth, and overcoming them can lead to achieving our life goals. Embracing discomfort allows us to break free from fear and doubt, opening doors to opportunities that align with our true potential. It's a reminder that pursuing our 'promise land' requires resilience and the willingness to step outside our comfort zones.</video:description>

<video:thumbnail_loc>https://www.aboutjspeaks.com/assets/thumbnails/express-release-therapeutic-dance-thumbnail.webp</video:thumbnail_loc>
<video:description>Meet Gabrielle Rivero - CMO and Founder of Express & Release Therapeutic Dance. Express & Release Therapeutic Dance creates a safe space for kids, adults and seniors to recognize and release emotions from their bodies through movement. Gabby and her greater team help communities learn how to accept the emotions that they feel, express these emotions through safe movements that do not harm the self, others or the environment, and if desired, then to release these emotions from the self. It is Gabby’s hopes and dreams for therapeutic dance to one day be normalized and be used as a stress relief and to cope with life’s daily transitions! Express & Release helps individuals learn how to process emotions in their bodies through movement to find hope, healing, and restoration in their bodies. Research has proven that movement can be highly effective in the senior population: - Reduces anxiety and depression - Improves balance and lowers fall risk - Boosts feelings of control and resilience - Enhances health outcomes related to dementia - Supports health outcomes related to Parkinson's disease - Improves blood pressure, bone density, muscle tone, mobility, flexibility, balance, and coordination Through S.A.F.E. Movement Practice, Gabby guides her clients through gentle movements that help them re-learn their mobility and confidence as they embrace safe movements that feel good to their bodies. In her movement sessions, she does not teach technique as she invites each individual to explore movement that feels comfortable and right for their own body. Gabby guides her students through remembering images, thoughts, sounds, feelings, and colors that are connected to their bodies.</video:description>

<video:description>I had the pleasure of speaking to 19 graduate students at North Carolina A&T on the topic of ‘teamwork.’ I emphasized the importance of working towards your purpose and having a sense of direction in life first. This foundation allows you to select individuals who align with your morals, interests, and aspirations to be a part of your team. I then discussed how one can begin to brainstorm answers to the question, ‘What is my purpose?’ by following my 4C’s: courage, confidence, competence, and community. I enjoyed every moment of this experience and am excited to impart more words of wisdom and encouragement to the world. I am open to speaking engagements at your: - Elementary, middle, and high schools - Colleges - YMCA - Boys and Girls Club - Big Brothers Big Sisters - Private events - Etc.</video:description>

<video:thumbnail_loc>https://www.aboutjspeaks.com/assets/thumbnails/resiliency-collaborative-thumbnail.webp</video:thumbnail_loc>
<video:description>North Carolina is ranked 42nd among states with the highest prevalence and lowest access to mental health services for youth, and suicide is now the second leading cause of death for North Carolina youth ages 10-18 (NCDHHS, 2024). BIPOC youth with mental health challenges are more likely to be directed to the juvenile justice system than non-Latinx white youth. They face higher rates of harsh disciplinary and expulsion practices that divert them to the juvenile justice system, rather than appropriate mental health services (American Psychiatric Association). The Resiliency Collaborative (TRC) was established in the Spring of 2022 in response to youth requests for mental health, healing justice, and a youth-led space. The organization works alongside BIPOC youth in Wake County, North Carolina to foster a sense of belonging, promote youth voices, and cultivate the capacity to thrive and drive equitable change. TRC offers the following programs for BIPOC youth: Leadership Development, Educational Equity & Academics, and Mental Health & Wellness.</video:description>

<video:description>Often times we let our past and hopes for our futures distract us from living in our present and enjoying our now. No matter what we are going through in life it shouldn't be too great that it distracts us from appreciating all of Gods wonderfulness. Yes, keep your eyes on what's ahead of you and what you wish to accomplish but take ample time to consider, ponder about and appreciate your now and how far God has brought you in your life.</video:description>

<video:description>It is so easy for us to get frustrated with our best. We have to remind ourselves that when we embark on any journey there is always a starting point. Something that we aspire to grow in, be more proficient in and master - will take time, there is no way around it. To make this inevitable journey, this building period, more bearable on our psyche and spirit we must be patient and trust in the lord with all our heart and lean not to our own understanding but in all ways submit to him and he will straighten our path (Proverbs 3:5 - 6).</video:description>

<video:description>Changing bad habits takes more than solely prayer. It boils down to your discipline. It takes a lot to buckle down and put in the time, effort and or money to solve your problems and change. In order to make permanent, everlasting change in your behavior it will require you to carry out opposite, fruitful habits that you are disciplined, consistent with and hold yourself accountable. Only after that will prayer start to enhance and favor you along your journey.</video:description>

<video:description>Do you know that we are currently in a maternal health crisis? Women across the United States are dying from childbirth due to inadequate prenatal care and insufficient support during their birthing journey. Tune in as I interview Maya Jackson, Founder and Executive Director of Mobilizing African American Women Through Empowerment (MAAME, Inc.). Maya empowers Black, Indigenous, and other birthing people of color to navigate health systems, providing resources and support for holistic maternal health and wellness. Maya became a volunteer doula to support mothers and families needing guidance along their birthing journey. As a mother of five, she has experienced childbirth in both a hospital and a birth center. MAAME was founded through her lived experiences and the concerns of her community. Currently, Maya serves her community as a full-spectrum doula, maternal and infant health advocate, childbirth educator, and lactation peer counselor.</video:description>

<video:thumbnail_loc>https://www.aboutjspeaks.com/assets/thumbnails/pride-leads-to-destruction-thumbnail.webp</video:thumbnail_loc>
<video:description>There are so many takeaways from this avoidable tragedy that we can all learn from. Being open to hearing and instilling others advice and constructive criticism is a favorable and mature habit. The word of God says: do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves (Philippians 2:3). No matter how right or assured we are within ourselves, I urge you to be open to the advice of others and seek God with an open heart so that God can reveal himself to you - show you his grace, mercy and answer your prayers. God does not reveal himself to prideful people because arrogant people don't want to know him. The word of God says: God oppresses the proud and gives grace to the humble (James 4:6).</video:description>

<video:thumbnail_loc>https://www.aboutjspeaks.com/assets/thumbnails/qa-with-jarryon-thumbnail.webp</video:thumbnail_loc>
<video:description>Jarryon is a visionary founder, #entrepreneur and #coach. He values love, truth and action and believes that the fastest way to change the world is to unlock and transform oneself from the inside out. Jarryon is also a coach to entrepreneurs, leaders, founders, CEOs, executives and teams. An entrepreneur of 17+ years himself, he empathizes that leaders need support too. Formally trained as a 'healing coach', Jarryon is the first and currently only man in the world to become a 'flow method certified practitioner' having studied under the creator of this modality, Tara Meyer-Robson. This training activated in Jarryon the ability to pinpoint the root cause of pain, disease and dysfunction in a person's mind, body and life helping them discover exactly WHY they are in pain and exactly how to alleviate it. Jarryon has gone on to study a number of other modalities including Patrick Lencioni's The 6 Types of Working Genius and Shirzad Chamine's Positive Intelligence as well as a number of other modalities he casually and sometimes obsessively delves into. Jarryon believes in love, truth and action and does his best to live these values everyday and in everything he does whether it's building a startup to merge Web3 & Traditional Finance or to help a CEO through a challenging life-crisis. He believes the fastest way to change the world is to unlock and transform oneself with love, truth and action. Jarryon has dedicated his life to expanding on and sharing these values with the world.</video:description>

<video:thumbnail_loc>https://www.aboutjspeaks.com/assets/thumbnails/when-real-love-can-hurt-thumbnail.webp</video:thumbnail_loc>
<video:description>I believe that real love gets its hands dirty. Anybody who says they love you should get their hands dirty before they let you go off a cliff. You can't say you love me, see me destroying myself and not confront me because you are more concerned about being nice over me being healed. I can't speak for everyone but me personally? I want you to get in my mug and say 'wait a minute you are about to mess your life up'. What I am talking about is trusting God even when it hurts. On the contrary, I have learned through experience that you can lead a horse to a body of water but you cannot make the horse drink. This is an idiom in english that means, you can show someone the way to do something, provide them with the materials and tools to do it but at the end of the day THEY are the ones who need to want to change for themselves. They have to find the motivation and take action themselves - you can't force them.</video:description>

<video:thumbnail_loc>https://www.aboutjspeaks.com/assets/thumbnails/tameran-davenport-founder-positive-outlook-trainings-thumbnail.webp</video:thumbnail_loc>
<video:description>What do employers look for in new employees? Soft Skills. Soft skills are non-technical skills that relate to how you work. According to business leaders, while the three 'R's' (reading, writing, and arithmetic) are still fundamental to every employee's ability to do the job, employers view 'soft' skills as even more important to work readiness. These skills include having the ability to manage your time effectively, being able to compromise and resolve conflicts, and your overall work ethic. Soft skills can affect how you interact with colleagues, solve problems, and manage your work, making them important for your success. Positive Outlook Trainings, founded by Tameran Davenport, offers training focused on building these essential soft skills. The company provides virtual courses designed to help business owners, leaders, and organizations with professional development, particularly through its portfolio of 149 courses. By strengthening soft skills, Positive Outlook Trainings aims to improve corporate material and help employees and leaders create a more balanced and effective work environment.</video:description>

<video:title>Health Equity: Why It Should Matter To You</video:title>
<video:thumbnail_loc>https://www.aboutjspeaks.com/assets/thumbnails/what-is-health-equity-thumbnail.webp</video:thumbnail_loc>
<video:description>Dr. Tanya M. Bass (she/her) is an award-winning sexuality educator and mental health advocate committed to advancing health equity through culturally responsive and inclusive professional development. Advancing health equity is a critical part of any public health framework. Gaining a better understanding of how racism and discrimination are root causes of health disparities through a historical perspective allows organizations to make better policy and programmatic decisions. Dismantling systems of oppression requires consistent learning, assessment, and collective support. Dr. Bass supports organizations in developing health equity frameworks with an understanding of the social, economic, environmental, and cultural determinants and drivers of health. Tanya has been working to increase cultural consciousness and reduce health disparities for more than 20 years. She has provided technical assistance and support to state and local governments and communities by using the CLAS standards to reach the underserved and marginalized.</video:description>

<video:title>From Trauma to Triumph: Florida DeVaul-Dudley Journey of Healing & Empowerment</video:title>
<video:thumbnail_loc>https://www.aboutjspeaks.com/assets/thumbnails/florida-devaul-dudley-trauma-to-triumph-thumbnail.webp</video:thumbnail_loc>
<video:description>As a trauma survivor, Florida DeVaul-Dudley truly comprehends the anguish caused by such experiences. Encountering or witnessing distressing and emotionally intense situations can trigger a range of complex emotions, including fear, horror, numbness, or helplessness. Because of her trauma and the freedom that she has walked through in her own healing journey, in 2014, Flo started a nonprofit organization for underserved victims and survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. Flo started Shining Light In Darkness (SLID) to provide education, support, and healing to survivors of interpersonal trauma. After working with survivors across the country, she vowed that Shining Light in Darkness would be a beacon of hope for victims and survivors in the field of trauma recovery. Still with a burning passion to want to do more and understanding that “everyone heals differently” Flo decided to further her education by becoming more trauma-informed in order to serve men, women, and children. Now as a recognized expert in trauma recovery, through Florida Soars, it is Flo's deepest desire to help others that are currently dealing with the hidden pain of trauma of their past and present, because I know what that feels like.</video:description>

<video:thumbnail_loc>https://www.aboutjspeaks.com/assets/thumbnails/merrick-moore-legacy-thumbnail.webp</video:thumbnail_loc>
<video:description>The Merrick-Moore Community, originally the Millie Rone Hall Estate on the Roane Plantation, runs along Cheek Road (formerly Fish Dam Road). Officially developed in 1947 by V.F. Pope and H.L. Noell, the first Black family built their home in 1940. Many early residents were WWII veterans released from service between 1945–1946, with families often purchasing multiple lots. Many came from farms and built a tight-knit community. The community is named after Merrick-Moore High School (built in 1950), named for John Merrick, founder of North Carolina Mutual Life Insurance Company, and Dr. Aaron McDuffie Moore, Durham’s first Black medical doctor. The Merrick-Moore Community Development Corporation was created to uplift underprivileged residents, foster communication, host events, support community needs, and enhance property values. Core values include community service, activism, teamwork, loyalty, respect, and trust. The organization is proud of its enduring legacy of resilience, heritage, and empowerment.</video:description>

<video:thumbnail_loc>https://www.aboutjspeaks.com/assets/thumbnails/gameflo-ceo-chi-nwogu-trading-screen-time-thumbnail.webp</video:thumbnail_loc>
<video:description>Chi Nwogu is the Co-Founder & CEO of GameFlo - a community-based gaming company creating wholesome ways to connect. GameFlo is on a mission to provide healthier alternatives to screen time while nurturing imagination and making learning fun! The company designs culturally-relevant games and experiences for people of all backgrounds. With a focus on pre-teens and teenagers, GameFlo went through various testing phases, working in tandem with these age groups. What Chi and his team soon discovered was that their game needed to feel like fun, not learning. With that in mind and a desire to create games that can inspire and ultimately change the world, Chi and his team designed their flagship card game, PICKUP, to have characters with different ethnic backgrounds, abilities, and gender identities so that anyone who played felt included. GameFlo currently offers PICKUP Basketball and will soon launch PICKUP Soccer. A comic version of PICKUP Basketball will be released this year and a digital version of the game is in development as well!</video:description>

<video:thumbnail_loc>https://www.aboutjspeaks.com/assets/thumbnails/sky-infiniti-toxic-culture-jendina-guide-thumbnail.webp</video:thumbnail_loc>
<video:description>JenDina, the founder of Sky Infiniti, recognizes the internal challenges of fostering a positive work environment and the profound impact these challenges have on staff dedicated to achieving the organization's mission. A deteriorating work environment can trap individuals in a draining cycle of burnout, overwork, inefficiency, and constant turnover and JenDina understands that negativity in one part of an organization can ripple through others. Sky Infiniti embraces a grounded and humanistic approach to navigating workplace complexities, focusing on the power of nourishing communication, building connections, and coaching individuals in their environments. Having faced similar challenges, JenDina has dived deep into the beliefs and behaviors that shape Toxic Work Cultures and the outcomes it produces. Unhealthy work environments zap resources and stifle growth and competitive, scarcity mindsets become barriers to well-being, pushing valuable team members to leave. As this cycle continues, negative patterns can spread when unchecked, fostering a culture of scarcity and a poor reputation. Drawing on experience in engagement, training, coaching, and project management, Sky Infiniti offers restorative-based “soil”-utions uniquely designed for any organization and aims to create partnerships built on trust rather than mere oversight and advisement!</video:description>

<video:description>Rich Gittings is a legal innovator and systems builder working at the intersection of Law, Equity and Public Policy. He founded North Carolina Legal Services to serve people shut out of both free legal aid and traditional firms—and he’s also been working and organizing around housing, democracy, and structural reform. Most recently, he’s been meeting with people and organizations across North Carolina to better understand what’s working, what’s failing, and what it would take for us to build something better—together. This conversation offers a window into why he does this work, and where it might lead.</video:description>

<video:description>Gender equality across every aspect of society is a fundamental human right and essential for our societies to be safe, prosperous and thrive. Unfortunately, women face economic, social and legal barriers to setting up and running their businesses such as access to capital, resources and a reliable support system. These factors mean women often run businesses in the most precarious and least lucrative industries, and stand to be disproportionately impacted by macroeconomic challenges. The Women's Business Center of North Carolina led by Erica Vazquez, the Executive Director, strongly believes that women entrepreneurs of today are creating a better tomorrow for everyone. When women entrepreneurs succeed, they’re more likely to invest back into their families and community – into education, nutrition, wellbeing, and children’s health. Also, their businesses are more likely to provide necessary services and opportunities to their communities. Hopefully after watching this episode you will understand for yourself how Erica and The Women's Business Center of North Carolina are on a mission to promote economic self sufficiency for all women in North Carolina through entrepreneurship. Clients have benefited from tools and support to establish their businesses, stabilize their companies, generate sustainable profits, strategize for future growth and contribute to the growth and economic development of their communities!</video:description>

<video:title>Our Children’s Place: The Real Reason Behind Supporting Kids of Incarcerated Parents</video:title>
<video:thumbnail_loc>https://www.aboutjspeaks.com/assets/thumbnails/our-childrens-place-supporting-kids-of-incarcerated-parents-thumbnail.webp</video:thumbnail_loc>
<video:description>1 in every 28 children in the United States has an incarcerated parent, more than 20,000 children in the state of North Carolina have a parent in prison and, according to the Annie E. Cassie Foundation, an estimated 160,000 children in North Carolina have experienced parental incarceration and the resulting consequences. Our Children’s Place of Coastal Horizons Center is a statewide program committed to the well-being of these children through education, advocacy and outreach. Their mission is threefold: TO EDUCATE professionals about the impacts of parental incarceration on children and emphasize the urgency to act. TO IDENTIFY AND PROMOTE policies, programs, and practices which improve outcomes for the children of incarcerated parents. TO SUPPORT relationships between these children and their parents, not only to benefit the children, but also to ensure that the corrections system, agencies focused on serving families, and surrounding communities understand how best to facilitate these interactions in order to provide the most value. Parental incarceration is a significant, adverse childhood experience that often coincides with parental divorce, economic instability in the household and substance abuse. After watching this episode it will be up to all of us to spread awareness for these children through education, advocacy and outreach!</video:description>

<video:description>I am so pleased to share that I facilitated and had a profound conversation with three incredible authors - Haseena Shaheed-Jackson, Michelle Ann Collins and Jordan Richardson. I can't wait for you to hear the episode! We gathered around what we call The Story Table and all three interviewees shared raw, honest insights about their journeys as writers and, more importantly, as humans navigating this wild thing called life. We talked about: Overcoming the fear that keeps you stuck, finding the strength and courage to move forward when everything feels uncertain, transforming trauma into healing—yours and others'—and embracing this truth: You are amazing, even when you don't feel like it. This conversation is real, vulnerable, and packed with wisdom that goes far beyond writing. Whether you're chasing a dream, healing from your past, or simply trying to figure out your next step, there's something here for you!</video:description>

<video:description>The Carolina Pitch Fest, hosted by UNC Kenan-Flagler, is an entrepreneurial pitch competition that provides students with an opportunity to share start-up ideas to judges with a chance to win prize money of up to $15,000. The event brings together students from across campus and disciplines (business, liberal arts, computer science, journalism, etc.) to explore their ideas and make a pitch about how their business proposal should receive additional support as it looks to grow. Participants work in teams to create the best pitch, compete in front of their peers, get feedback from judges, and eventually make their pitch in front of a room of strangers to see if their idea should win one of 3 cash prizes. This is where innovative ideas meet the spotlight! Whether you’re a budding entrepreneur or passionate about problem-solving, this event is your chance to showcase your creativity, network with like-minded peers, and present your ideas to a panel of judges.</video:description>

<video:thumbnail_loc>https://www.aboutjspeaks.com/assets/thumbnails/farming-faith-dr-elaine-heath-spring-forest-thumbnail.webp</video:thumbnail_loc>
<video:description>Dr. Elaine Heath has had an amazing life journey, even growing up in poverty with many hard experiences - including having to leave home and find her way as a junior in high school. After earning her PhD in theology she became ordained in the methodist church and for eleven years she worked as a professor at Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University and as professor and dean of missional and pastoral theology at Duke Divinity School at Duke University. However, she retied from Duke University in order to develop, live at and serve as lead farmer and Abbess at Spring Forest - a monastic community located in Hillsborough, North Carolina. The community operates a small retentive farm that produces thousands of pounds of food each year to help those who are struggling with food insecurity along with a traditional Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) subscription service. Spring Forest also offers a myriad of agritourism experiences and hosts many spiritual formation ministries, children’s programs and much more. Hopefully after this episode you will understand for yourself that Spring Forest is at the forefront of a new reformation, one that is freeing the christian faith from the sinful structures of racism, classism, many phobias and extreme evangelism and mission. Whereas the new reformation is all about the emergence of a generous, hospital and equitable form of christianity - one that is healing the wounds of this world!</video:description>

<video:thumbnail_loc>https://www.aboutjspeaks.com/assets/thumbnails/prison-to-freedom-brian-scott-ourjourney-thumbnail.webp</video:thumbnail_loc>
<video:description>Brian Scott served 20 years in prison and was released in February of 2021, after which he founded OurJourney one year later. OurJourney is a new approach to freedom where being released from prison isn’t just an occasion to anticipate but a ‘journey to join’. OurJourney believes that communities are safer, stronger and more connected when people returning from prison don’t go back. Therefore the organization exists to help people during their reentry journey as well as raise awareness concerning the challenges that people face. How does OurJourney do this you might ask? Their secret sauce is the lived experiences of the staff and many of its board members. Everything that this nonprofit does, whether it is developing their own programs and tools or coming up with common sense ways to remove reentry barriers, is based on the intimate knowledge of knowing what it feels like to be incarcerated and having to go back. Hopefully after tuning into this episode you will understand for yourself that OurJourney has several programs and tools designed to help people returning from prison during their first ninety days!</video:description>

<video:description>Jennifer has been trained by the world renowned Bob Proctor and is ready to lead you and your team into the results that you want in far less time, struggle and burnout - all through the power of mindset mastery. When was the last time that you considered what you wanted out of life? Most of us allow family and friends to talk us into taking the ‘easy’ or ‘safe’ life. Why? Because the ‘how’ behind our ideal life seems impossible and we let ideas fall to the wayside. The vast majority of us hold ourselves back because we believe we must have everything in perfect order before we can do what we truly want to do with our lives. That perfect timing is an illusion, it will never happen and your life will just pass you by. Jennifers passion and purpose in life is to help you to take that jump and will lead you to the other side of your vision. Hopefully after watching this episode you will understand for yourself that if you are ready to take your life by the reins, work with Jennifer. Jennifer will teach you the process that you need to take your results from where they are to where you want them to be!</video:description>

<video:thumbnail_loc>https://www.aboutjspeaks.com/assets/thumbnails/words-shape-who-you-become-colin-sl-mackie-thumbnail.webp</video:thumbnail_loc>
<video:description>What if the voice that's shadowed you through every success has a name? For entrepreneur and memoirist Colin S. L. Mackie, there are two — Nancy and Rover. In this conversation, host H.S. Jackson and Colin trace the line from the village to the voices to the view Colin holds today from a mountain in Northern Thailand. Along the way: how early influences become inner voices, and the moment a man who had built empires stood up to speak and was terrified. Colin faced that fear and followed it to its root: words once spoken at him, and the little voice that had been running the show ever since. Whether you're building something, rebuilding, or quietly wondering if you're enough. This conversation offers permission to question the inherited script, and a blueprint for writing your own.</video:description>
