It brings me such joy to introduce you all to Sifu Michael Dana. On March 28, 2008, Sifu Mike was diagnosed with a rare brain cancer (medulloblastoma), and after six years of fighting, he is now cancer-free!

Sifu Mike is a full-time professional mixed martial artist. He has been training at Tactical Kung Fu & MMA since 2009 and is a 6th Degree Black Belt (Lakan Anim/Rokudan) in the Independent Escrima-Kenpo-Arnis Associates under Dr. Jerome Barber, as well as a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Kajukenbo - Wun Hop Kuen Do under Professor Larry Carter, Ph.D. He is also a Black Sash in Xiao Zhang Kung Fu and a Shodan in Kempo-Jutsu.

At TKFMMA, he primarily focuses on providing the best service possible as the principal instructor, business manager, and sole owner. He has been teaching martial arts since 2010, has taught over 10,800 hours, and is currently teaching 35-40 hours each week. He also holds a degree in Economics from UNC, which he earned while fighting off his brain cancer.
