Durham Youth Mentoring Alliance: Breaking Barriers & Empowering Black & Brown Youth

The Youth Mentoring Collaborative (YMC), in partnership with the Durham Office on Youth (OOY) and a coalition of youth-serving organizations, has created the Durham Youth Mentoring Alliance. This initiative fosters collaboration between mentoring organizations and expands access to evidence-based mentorship for young people in Durham.

The City of Durham Office on Youth (OOY) engages young individuals (ages 13-24) to ensure their voices shape the city's future. By promoting leadership and cultural shifts in youth engagement, OOY invests in the dreams and aspirations of Durham’s youth.

Youth Mentoring Collaborative (YMC) works to increase identity-affirming mentoring relationships for Black and Brown youth, breaking down systemic barriers that impact young people and their families.
